Banana Bread Recipe

Here is a sweet little recipe for you to enjoy. I decided I am in pursuit of the best banana bread recipe. This one I enjoyed recently and I thought I would share it with you. Like most of my recipes I found this one on good ol’ Pinterest. Let’s just call this one the Sour Cream Banana Bread Recipe.

·         1 stick butter (1/2 cup), softened

·         1 cup sugar

·         2 eggs, beaten

·         1 ½ cups flour

·         1 tsp. baking soda

·         ½ tsp. salt

·         1 cup mashed bananas (I use three over-ripened bananas)

·         ½ cup sour cream

·         1 tsp. vanilla

Direction: Preheat oven to 350 degrees. Grease and flour on 9-inch loaf pan. Pan should be ¾ full of batter.

In a large bowl, cream the butter and sugar until light and fluffy. Add the eggs and mix well.

Whisk together the flour, baking soda, and salt; combine with the butter mixture.

Add the sour cream, bananas, and vanilla: stir well.

Pour into prepared pan and bake for 50 minutes.

Do the toothpick test to see if it is done to your liking.
